Dubrovnik Airport Ltd. is pleased to inform that Phase II of construction works on the runway has been terminated with the 9th of December 2018, according to the previously published dynamic construction plan and in accordance with all set deadlines.

From this morning (Monday, 10th of December 2018) at 6:00 a.m. local time, the runway was released for operations of landing and take-off in the length of 2099m. Therefore, all flights announced and planned within the winter schedule can operate to and from Dubrovnik Airport without limitations.

Besides the mentioned, we may also inform that Dubrovnik Airport has implemented a Terminal Area Navigation procedure (RNAV) which allows precise landing of aircrafts from both directions of the runway during the day as well as during the night. The procedure is based on use of the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and requires adequate technological equipment of the aircrafts in order to be able to apply this procedure.

After having completed Phase I and Phase II, the critical period of reconstruction of the runway has passed, therefore future scheduled traffic should continue without difficulty.

Construction works will continue within Phase III and are expected to be terminated mid-March 2019, when the completely reconstructed runway shall be in use in its entire length.
