HBOR and EIB provide credit funds for "Dubrovnik Airport Development" project.

On the 5th of October 2015, the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Dubrovnik Airport (ZLD) signed loans in the amount of 17.5 million euros to finance the project " Dubrovnik Airport Development ".

Contract were signed by President of HBOR's Managing Board Dušan Tomašević, Member of the HBOR Managing Board Goran Filipić, Vice President of the EIB Dario Scannapieco and the Airport’s director Roko Tolić.

The Airport’s director Roko Tolić said that these contracts present a big step forward to functional airport in the far south of the Croatia, which is now a catalyst of economic growth, because tourism is the dominant industry in this area. He also said he expects the airport terminal to be completed and ready for the season 2017.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds Branko Grcic said that, three days ago he had the opportunity to land in the Airport Dubrovnik and to make sure that the project "is already galloping towards the advanced stage".

"The best news for the Croatian south, Dubrovnik and the whole area is the announcement that terminal building would be functional before the tourist season 2017. " said Grčić, adding that more good news will follow for south part of Croatia..

Vice President of the EIB Dario Scannapieco said that this is the first EIB loan granted to one economic entity in Croatia without state quarantee.
